The Independent Step
The stage where children started to become enthusiastic and very interested in the world, talking non-stop

Between 18 and 24 months, walking becomes running and undertaking tasks by their own volition has become children’s main priority. At this stage, carers are no longer assisting children in dancing and the use of simple instruments, but are dancing with and joining in with them as equal participants of the activity. Children continue to take part in similar activities as before, but with more independence and with a greater ability to guide activities towards their own areas of interest. Rhythmic ability has improved and children are now able to play a steady rhythm in short sustained bursts. Some semblance of tunefulness can also be observed sporadically.
